Hospital Furniture

Safety, hygiene and accessibility

We produce and sell medical devices and hospital furniture that support patient management in a safe environment. We design and set up breastfeeding areas, multisensory rooms, wall decorations and pediatric spaces to humanize care while ensuring maximum functionality.

Health, safety, hygiene, accessibility, and ease of maintenance are our primary goals.

To these aspects, designer Mitzi Bollani adds a delicate artistic touch to improve the environment and thus facilitate care, reducing stress for patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Hospital Humanization

The need to humanize hospital environments involves architectural and environmental aspects. The influence of design produces clinically measurable outcomes for patients, such as reduced stress, anxiety, fear, pain, and recovery times, thanks to a greater willingness to cooperate with healthcare personnel; for families, in terms of spatial orientation, caregiving ease, and social support; and for hospital staff, in terms of lower stress levels, improved work efficiency, and reduced workplace accidents.

We offer medical devices, hospital furniture, and solutions for the emotional restyling of wards with interventions that can be carried out in just a few hours without construction work or furniture replacement. Our products support the development of inclusive projects that achieve multiple objectives simultaneously, Favola + is one such example.

Holistic Delivery Room

Childbirth is a crucial moment that should be experienced positively by women. For this reason, we create holistic environments where sounds, aromas, lights, and colors help the mother-to-be experience the hours preceding birth in a relaxed state. We design wall decorations that visually expand the space, distract women from labor pain, and soften the highly technological appearance of delivery rooms.

We offer a range of devices designed to promote natural childbirth, the partner’s involvement, and to facilitate early mother-child bonding. The MimmaMà chair helps reduce pain during the prodromal phase of labor and supports early breastfeeding; birthing vines and stools allow for choosing the most comfortable position; the PuSiCo sink-changing table ensures safe hygiene for the newborn; and the MaBim crib transports the baby safely to the room.

Rooming-in Room

Rooming-in is extremely important both physiologically and psychologically, promoting immediate bonding between mother and newborn. Direct contact with the mother fosters emotional connection, allows timely responses to hunger cues, and helps stabilize the baby’s vital signs. For the mother, rooming-in has a calming effect and supports the management of postnatal hormonal changes.

Our devices are specifically designed to simplify rooming-in while ensuring maximum safety for the newborn, with a gentle design that avoids the typical hospital look. The MaBim crib prevents the baby from falling or being accidentally crushed; the MimmaMà breastfeeding chair keeps the mother ALERT, preventing her from falling asleep during feeds; and the PuSiCo sink-changing table allows the arm to rest inside the basin for secure support of the baby. Emotional Sign On illustrations decorate the room, creating a positive and soothing atmosphere.

Pediatric Wards and Emergency Rooms

Hospital settings are not always welcoming bare walls, office-style furniture in harsh colors, cold lighting, and more. Yet the environment around us plays a fundamental role in our well-being, especially during times of illness or emergency. Pediatric wards and ERs often lack distracting elements for young patients: the environment intensifies their fears, slowing down the work of doctors and nurses. We humanize wards and ERs with special illustrated stories that decorate hospital walls and are also shared through books and videos to make them accessible to all children. Discover the Favola+ project.

Creating a child-friendly ward or emergency room means setting up spaces with vibrant colors, toys, and decorations to reduce anxiety and fear. Families should have areas where they can relax and receive support during the waiting period, with comfortable seating and clear information on how to behave during an emergency.
