Favola+

We make pediatric wards more serene and relaxing

FAVOLA+ transforms pediatric wards into fantasy worlds, where the walls tell stories capable of reassuring, making people smile and letting their imaginations soar. A way to give children moments of joy and serenity, even in the most difficult moments, and relieve tension and fear in young patients.

In hospitals, you often find unwelcoming environments…

Hospital environments do not always offer a sense of welcome: bare walls, impersonal furnishings in harsh colors, and cold, non-adjustable lighting all contribute to creating uncomfortable spaces.
Yet the environment around us has a profound impact on our well-being — and this is especially true in moments of great vulnerability, such as during illness or after emergency surgery.

In emergency rooms, there is a lack of distracting elements for young patients: the environment amplifies their fears, slowing down the work of doctors and nurses.

Leura transforms and brings positivity to your spaces

FAVOLA+ is a project that creates a positive environment for young patients through a personalized illustrated story, decorating hospital walls with it and telling it through an expressive video, both verbal and non-verbal, so that every child feels involved and seen.

The story, always with a happy ending, conveys a reassuring message where the weakest triumphs over adversity, suggesting that inner strength – physical, mental, and spiritual – can overcome any challenge, with a touch of humor.

Printed in small books, personalized with the name of the hospital and sponsors, it is given to children to accompany them even beyond the treatment room. This narrative journey, capable of distracting and comforting during therapies, helps reduce anxiety for families and healthcare workers, generating a positive effect on the entire hospital environment.

How to join the project

Favola+ projects are designed to bring together two different actors from our social fabric: businesses and associations with hospitals, clinics, and pediatric health centers. Sponsors can support the creation of a story in a facility, linking their brand through sponsorship to a high-visibility initiative that will be featured in the media and clearly contributes to health, well-being, and care for the most vulnerable.

Each donation will enable participating hospitals to achieve important goals and will allow you to share in those achievements, with your contribution recognized through a video and printed booklet.

What are the benefits of Favola+

Children and Families

Hospitalization and illness are times of great stress for a child and their family. Feelings of helplessness, insecurity, and mistrust, along with disrupted routines, leave a lasting mark. FAVOLA+ eases this experience by creating distracting environments and relatable characters.

Doctors and Nurses

Treating a child who is crying, scared, and uncooperative causes distress, stress, and deep concern for medical and nursing staff as well. The time needed for a dressing or a minor procedure can increase three or fourfold. FAVOLA+ helps by distracting the child with a story that surrounds them.

Hospitals

Hospital facilities will benefit from an initiative that not only humanizes their spaces but also highlights the hospital’s name through a project that involves sponsor contributions and reaches other hospitals, libraries, schools…

Sponsors

The FAVOLA+ project provides a real and effective contribution to the quality of care and development of the child. Sponsors will gain broad and high-quality visibility: on a plaque in the hospital, in the books, and in the video credits. The project, developed locally, will also gain visibility across the national territory.

Where to activate Favola+

The story illustrations can be applied to walls and ceilings quickly and cleanly, without causing noise. Many places can benefit from this intervention: pediatric emergency rooms, neonatal units, intensive care units, outpatient clinics, hallways, maternity wards, and breastfeeding areas. Favola+ can cover the walls of a nursery and be featured on the stands of breastfeeding stations, creating a continuous narrative thread throughout the city.

Positive Aftermath

Each new story created is shared with all participating facilities, used for activities such as “bedtime stories,” and, when printed as a booklet, can be integrated into initiatives like “Born to Read,” as well as in libraries and schools.
