BimMa ME
Hospital Pediatric Bed
BimMa ME is a hospital pediatric bed for infants, suitable for use in inpatient wards, neonatal intensive care units, and sub-intensive care. The transparent side panels allow constant monitoring of the newborn to enable prompt intervention in case of emergency. They are also removable and adjustable to different heights.
The BimMa ME bed allows the infant to be positioned in Trendelenburg or Anti-Trendelenburg positions and features a practical storage shelf at the base, enabling the use of therapeutic equipment. The BimMa ME bed can be equipped with storage bags and an IV pole.

ACCESSORIZABLE BED
BimMa ME Hospital Beds
The BimMa ME pediatric bed is a CE-certified medical device with a supporting structure in painted stainless steel in RAL colors. It features double-action locking wheels for complete stability without oscillation, a storage shelf, a Trendelenburg positioning system, and four transparent, removable side panels with functional holes. The two longer side panels can be set at different heights. This hospital pediatric bed can be accessorized with a Maby fire-retardant mattress, an articulated IV pole arm, and a name tag holder. Locking pins on the side panels ensure secure positioning. Dimensions (LxWxH) 103x63x138cm.
The manual adjustment of the mattress support platform allows for both Trendelenburg and Anti-Trendelenburg positioning.

The side rails can be set at four different heights according to the needs and age of the newborn.

Values: an ergonomic design that ensures safety, practicality, and functionality; an emotional design that conveys security, fosters empathy, and strengthens the bond between parent and child. The bed is available in various colors, and the longer side rails can feature custom illustrations upon request: a whale with her calf—a strong symbol of maternal bonding—a little horse, and more…
Helpful design: We aimed to make the bed highly functional while maintaining a clean and simple design. Cut-outs in the side rails improve grip and handling, practical holes in the panels allow for the passage of cables and catheters, and additional openings make it easy to hang bags and medical records.
History: BimMa was designed in 2019 by architect Mitzi Bollani at the request of Dr. Anna Portanova, Head Nurse of the Medical-Surgical Neonatology Department at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital. It was revised in 2025 to make it suitable for inpatient care in compliance with EN 50637 regulations.
